Condition:

  • Professionally cleaned, museum grade preserved and repaired at Elegance Preserved in San Francisco ( Stored in a preservation box and wrapped in cloth. I can also include the original white Sarah Seven dress bag it came with if you like.
  • There is wear and tear specifically on the bottom hem of the dress. The tears and stains on the bottom hem of the dress are from snagging when I walked since it was a bit longer than anticipated since I ended up wearing flats on my wedding day. Elegance Preserved did their best to clean and fix what they could with the hem. However the good news is due to the organic nature of the skirt, it is not really noticeable while wearing it and it’s also possible to hem areas of the bottom off that are in poor condition. I have discounted the dress drastically due to the the wear on the the bottom hem. I have included photos so you can have a general idea of what to expect. Except for the bottom of the dress, the rest of the gown is in great condition. Apologies for the poor lighting on the dress hem photos. I didn’t want to disturb the dress too much in the preservation box and handled with gloves so the photos are less than ideal but it does show the damage to the hem accurately. You can see the entirety of the actual dress as worn in the wedding photos of me (the woman with the dark brown/black hair).

Cost:

  • Originally purchased from the San Francisco Sarah Seven Boutique. The cost of the dress was originally $2350 and an extra $200 to add the Juliet sleeves for a total of $2550. I did get a Black Friday discount so the price I paid was discounted from the normal retail price.

Size:

  • I am 5’5” and a size 2 and usually wear a small. At the time, my measurements taken by Sarah Seven was: Bust: 30.5”, Bra: A, Waist: 25.5”, Hip: 37.5”. The skirt length is hemmed longer so it can accommodate heels for someone of my height.

I truly had the best time on my wedding day in this dress. It was beyond beautiful but also comfortable to wear all day. It was everything I dreamed of and I’m hoping to pass this on to another bride to enjoy on her special day.
